Legal, finance, and the business units weren’t talking to each other, so finance was trying to reconcile payments against contracts they couldn’t even see. We pulled every contract from legal, royalty accounting, and the business into one master database. We separated active agreements from expired ones. We re-engaged the active licensees with welcome packets, locked down royalty-reporting accuracy, and kept continuous contact so everyone was held to their obligations instead of left to self-report and round down. For the first time, someone was actually running the desk.
